School Board

Index School Board

Index School District is governed by a board of directors consisting of five community members who are accountable to and elected by the Index community. The School Board provides direction to their superintendent and generally advises on budgetary, program policy, and staff members. The Board invites you to attend meetings on the third Tuesday of each month. All members of our school board are committed to seeing the best education for your children. Notices of school board meetings are posted on the reader board at the local store and the front door of the school.

As of July 1, 2018, Index School District has completed their budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

Hester moved to Index 10 years ago with her husband Bert, who was born in Index. Bert built their family home in 2010 where they now live with their three amazing children. She grew up with her mother, father, and stepmother all being teachers. Because of this, education has always been an important part of her life. For three years, Hester worked in the office at a private school in Arizona and learned a lot about the process of education. In 2002 she graduated from ASMT as a massage therapist and completed a yoga teacher training program in 2014. Besides yoga and body work, Hester loves dancing, gardening, photography, working out at the gym, and providing day care for her friends. She looks forward to helping continue the strong and healthy education that Index Elementary provides for her community.
